Event Details

We join The Quapaw Nation and O-Gah-Pah Communications in inviting the public to attend Culture in Color: Native American Heritage Through Art, an engaging evening of visual art and cultural discussion presented by the Post Art Library inside Joplin Public Library on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 5:30 PM.

This special event explores how Native American imagery has been portrayed in advertising and popular media throughout the years, and how those portrayals have influenced cultural understanding, perception, and identity. Through thoughtful discussion and curated visuals, attendees will gain insight into the evolving role of Indigenous representation in American culture, art, and commerce.

Presented in honor of Native American Heritage Month, this event celebrates both tradition and transformation, offering a space to recognize Indigenous creativity, challenge stereotypes, and highlight the resilience and influence of Native voices in modern storytelling and design.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
