Event Details

Format:

Tournament Basics Presentation: 10-11 am

Simultaneous Exhibition: 11-12 Local player, plays multiple opponents at once
 

Break: 12pm-12:45

Tournament:

  • Late registration 12:00-12:50
     
  • Rounds: 1pm-4:30, each round paired as soon as possible after previous round ends
  • Format: 4 round Swiss, Game in 25 with 3 second delay (G/25,d3)

Sections:
K-12: Open to players grades K-12

K-8: Open to players grades K-8

Sections may be combined for pairing purposes.

All games played under US Chess tournament regulations. One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2

No Entry Fee


Prizes:

K-12 and K-8: Top-2 finishers in each group given awards.

 
Registration: Advance registration requested; on site registrations from 9-10 am (for morning events); late registration for tournament only 12:00-12:50pm
