The Teen Dept.’s Makerspace is free and open to grades 6-12 - come check it out! Multiple projects available.

Dr. Kerry Sachetta will discuss the history of unwanted children from Medieval practices through today, and how the Italian Orphan Program 1950-1970 addressed the issue of orphaned and unwanted children after WWII.

This fun storytime geared towards 0-2 year olds and their families includes reading, singing, rhyming, and connection.

Join the Makerspace at the library where Dianne will demonstrate making glass flowers as well as basic glass-cutting techniques.

The Board of Trustees is a policymaking board and is fiscally responsible for how the Library’s funds are spent. With a few exceptions, the Board meets every month on the 3rd Tuesday at 4:00 pm in Conference Room 1 at the Library.

An Outreach Worker from Economic Security will be at the library for free consultations.

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at the Joplin Public Library. The blood drive will take place in the Community Room.

From April 16th through May 28th, Post Art Library will present an exhibit of surrealist portraits by local artist Rachel Cabral in our Bramlage & Willcoxon Foundation Gallery. 

Join the LEGO fun with Mr. Brix himself Cody Wells! Run like a game show, kids will use their imagination as Cody leads them through LEGO games and challenges for a chance of prizes.

Pick up an adult take-home kit in the Reference Department, while supplies last! Take-home kits includes supplies and instructions to make a craft at home. 

Your 8 to 12 year old reader is invited to join the Joplin Public Library's Paleontology Chapter Book Club! Your child may select a book before the first meeting or they can choose from a list of JPL-selected titles.
