The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at the Joplin Public Library from 11am to 4pm today. The blood drive will take place in the Community Room.

We will be discussing The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi. We'll chat about the book in its entirety. 

An Outreach Worker from Economic Security will be at the library for free consultations.

A Career Counselor from the Joplin Job Center will be in the library’s lobby for free consultations.

A Nutrition Program Associate from MU Extension Health and Human Sciences will be available in the library’s lobby for free SNAP consultations. No library card or appointment is required.

Grades 6-12; no registration needed; hangout, watch anime, and meet other fans!

This chapter book club for kids ages 8-12 will be focused on all things STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Each participant will receive a copy of Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters by Andrea Beaty.

The Board of Trustees is a policymaking board and is fiscally responsible for how the Library’s funds are spent. With a few exceptions, the Board meets every month on the 3rd Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the Community Room at the Library.

Join the Missouri Small Business Development Center for this 8 week business boot camp workshop series for new and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Southwest Missouri region. Each week will cover a new topic.
