This hands-on, child-led program is designed to encourage learning through play and family connection. We will have sensory activities, fine and gross motor activities, and crafts all about gardens! Ages 2-5

Dog Day Afternoon is designed to help newly independent readers become more comfortable reading!

The 4th program in JPL Teen's "Adulting 101" series focuses on finances and budgeting. JPL is partnering with financial advisor Logan Stanley for this program. Open to students in grades 6-12; no library card required.

An Outreach Worker from Economic Security will be at the library for free consultations.

A Career Counselor from the Joplin Job Center will be in the library’s lobby for free consultations. 

A Nutrition Program Associate from MU Extension Health and Human Sciences will be available in the library’s lobby for free SNAP consultations. No library card or appointment is required.

The Board of Trustees is a policymaking board and is fiscally responsible for how the Library’s funds are spent. With a few exceptions, the Board meets every month on the 3rd Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the Community Room at the Library.

Whether you're a chess pro or have never picked up a pawn, this club is for you! Come sharpen your skills or learn a new one with us in the teen department. Boards provided. This program is open to grades 6-12.
